Divergence |

Divergence means that one technical indicator, often an oscillator like the stochastic shown here, suggests a different market direction from that shown on the bar chart. In this example, we see higher prices on declining stochastics, suggesting coming downswings. Divergence is pretty reliable, but can take as long as 6-8 weeks before it asserts itself. |
